Our Story
A destination since 1991
Bamboo Bar & Restaurant was established in 1991 by Chef José Mendoza, a native of Mexico, and remains family-owned and operated to this day. Set on the border of West Los Angeles and Culver City in the Palms neighborhood, Bamboo has grown into a destination for authentic gourmet cuisine with Latin flavor and an international influence.
Everything is crafted from scratch — including our own custom spice blends. Signature plates include the Yucatán chicken breast in black pepper sauce and the mango chicken with fresh fruit and a mild curry, alongside ceviche, steaks, seafood in Caribbean sauces, and gourmet pizzas. Save room for the coconut flan or apple tart tatin.
Our mojitos are sweetened with actual sugar cane, freshly crushed and squeezed by hand at the bar — the best in Los Angeles.
An evening at Bamboo
Inside you'll find a modern bar with warm, romantic lighting and a comfortable dining room; outside, an enclosed patio with heat lamps keeps the table just right all year. Pet friendly, with free parking in the rear — come as you are and stay a while.
